Slidell Regional Education Center

The University of New Orleans, in partnership with LSU, is proud to open the Slidell Regional Education Center (SREC). The SREC will offer another location for UNO students to take their courses, as well as host workshops, seminars, and trainings for adults and working professionals in Slidell and the surrounding communities.

UNO will begin offering select courses from the College of Business Administration at the Slidell Regional Education Center in the Spring 2018 semester. Courses will be held evenings at the SREC, located on 1050 Gause Boulevard, across the street from Slidell Memorial Hospital (see map below).

Introduction to Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Administration

A comprehensive survey of the lodging, food service, and travel industries emphasizing their historical development and current trends by examining the social, economic, technological, and geographic factors contributing to their evolution. Basic operating principles and industry concepts and terms are stressed. Guest lecturers are featured, affording students the opportunity to discuss hospitality careers with local industry executives and leaders. (Units: 3/3)
